SPOILERS AND PERSONAL OPINION

In the beginning, Ki Hyun appears extremely possessive, repeatedly stating that Woo Hee belongs to him. At one point, he wanted to erase all of Woo Hee’s memories except for those of him, so that she can only remember him. He is very protective of her, quickly coming to her aid whenever she is in danger, or when threatened by demons. To him, Woo Hee is his utmost priority; she is the only one that matters to him.
By far, Ki Hyun is my favorite character in the manhwa. Initially, I thought he was closer to a yandere due to his words. On many occasions, he had indicated his desire for Woo Hee to accept him, care for him, smile for him, and belong to him. As we read on, we realized that Ki Hyun is actually the owner of Woo Hee. He had created her from his own arm, and gave her life from his own life energy. This could very well explain why he thinks Woo Hee belongs to him, it only made sense.
Yet, Woo Hee ran away from him despite him pouring his heart out for her. Although he felt betrayed, he still put Woo Hee’s wishes above his own. Thinking that she wants to escape from him, he gave her a chance to live a normal human life for 10 years. Thinking that Woo Hee chooses Shin Woo over him, he selflessly let Woo Hee go. Even if he deeply wishes to stay with her, he always gave Woo Hee a choice, and helped her achieve her wishes.
He is definitely obsessed with Woo Hee, and loved her to an overwhelming extent. He had cared deeply for her and protected her no matter what. For such reason, he fits as an obsessive character than a yandere. Once again, I declare him my favorite!!!
