SPOILERS AND PERSONAL OPINION

I know bona fide jerk when I see one. Kaito is exactly it.
When you first met, Kaito was rude and obnoxious, acting like he was above it all. When you hang out with him due to Ryo dragging you to teach him math, Kaito decided to destroy your calculator. IDK why, to attract your attention or smth? What is he, a 5-year-old?
Here, you will get mad and can either call him out or slap him. Immediately, he felt bad and decided to compensate you with his high-end bling bling calculator. And guess what? You straight away accepted it and made up with him. WTF?
For some reason, the brief and ridiculous interactions between the both of you made him interested in you. Oh, how can you be so special? Kind yet stubborn, seemingly normal yet so unique! Oh, everything you do, how can it be so attractive! It totally made no sense to me. But ok, the story must go on. So he decided that with his gang of cool boys, they should kidnap you and make you live with them forever happily ever after.
That’s right. This idiot is supposed to be intelligent, sharp, cool, wealthy, and the great mastermind of it all. He is the leader of the group that kidnapped you, and the brains behind this masterplan.
Forced to spend time with him as a captive, he admitted that at first, he devised the kidnapping for the sake of his friend, Ryo. But quickly, he ended up falling for you too. Among his friends, he acts relatively calm and composed during the time you are captive. Eventually, he also revealed the tragic past that he had, when his close one died due to a dreadful incident (which I guess is supposed to justify and redeem him a bit, but I don’t really care). Here, you may be given a choice to say that you love him.
If you had slapped him after he broke your calculator, said that you love him, and also not get too close with the other guys (like Ryo), then you can have a shot at his ending. In Kaito’s ending, he felt that everything was not going well with you and the other boys. In addition, his desire to monopolize you had gotten stronger. So much so that when you had tried to escape, he ended up killing his best friend Ryo in an attempt to keep you for himself. No one else mattered, only you.
It is clear from my writing that I do not like Kaito. He is supposed to be smart and logical. But he seemed like such a brat to me. It didn’t help that he acted so high and mighty, and it was made worse when the protagonist still somehow went along with everything. I cannot.
Anyway, Kaito seems composed at first, but when angered can easily become violent and even murderous. A typical trait for a yandere. But you will soon see this repeating itself in an extremely similar manner across the other 5 yandere boys featured in this game. Unfortunately, this is likely to happen when you have too many yandere characters in a similar setting, with a similar motive, and did not spend enough time creating unique plotlines and distinct characteristics for each of the characters.
Sadly, I did not enjoy playing his route (which is actually the main route, the only difference is the ending).
