Recently, Mayu’s 8-year-younger neighbour Kouta Akiyoshi has been avoiding her gaze. Mayu passed it off as Kouta’s teenage rebellious phase, but little did she knew about the hidden feelings in her young neighbour’s heart.

SPOILERS AND PERSONAL OPINION

The one shot manga revolves around 24-year-old Mayu who works as a bakery chef, and her 16-year-old high school neighbour Kouta Akiyoshi. They have known each other since young. Every Halloween, Kouta never fails to visit her family bakery for trick or treat. From there, they grew closer. However, one day, Kouta started avoiding eye contact with Mayu.

Again, with a simple manga, it is easy to guess who the yando character is. But I will leave more words about the character in the character page.

The one-shot is very light-hearted even though it deals with scary topics like stalking and obsessive behaviors. In real life, the yando would have been extremely creepy and should be sent straight into jail. But somehow, this manga managed to romanticize the behavior and make the story as light-hearted as can be. (WTF?)

Anyways, because of how the manga depicted some serious topics so lightly, it is better to just take it as it is, a manga story. If you like younger characters that act innocently but obsessively, and don’t mind trivialization of stalking in manga, then I think you might enjoy this as a quick read.
