SPOILERS AND PERSONAL OPINION

Inoribana tells a short story of a little dog that was once helped by a young man named Lee. Immensely grateful towards him, the innocent dog made a deal with the devil to become human so that she may thank Lee in person. Little did she know, the price to be paid is much greater than imagined.

Inoribana is a one-shot manga that can be finished within 10 mins. Although short, it conveyed the emotions of the main character Hiyodori (a.k.a little doggy) very well. You can really see how the mind of an innocent one can change under the presence of greed and rivalry.

From the tragedy tag, you must already know that the story of Hiyodori did not end well. The joy of becoming human and spending time with her favorite person was soon followed by the gradual corruption of her heart, leading to her ultimate demise.

Despite its length, the story did warmed my heart in the beginning and saddened me when things turned sour later. I think this in itself is a job well done.

The art style brings me back to the days when I just started reading manga. It is certainly as enjoyable as it is nostalgic. Overall, it is a good read.
