SPOILERS AND PERSONAL OPINION

* Note: This story features love between siblings.

In the beginning, Isiah introduced himself as Salleal’s relative. He told Salleal that she had fallen down during horse riding, and injured herself, which caused her to lose her memories. Isiah forbade Salleal from ever stepping out of her room, claiming that she had tarnished his family’s name through the horse riding incident.

Despite Isiah’s supposed dissatisfaction with Salleal, he often came to visit her. Many times, he brought Salleal her favourite food, books, and items from before her memory lost. As Salleal spent more time with Isiah, she began to harbor affection for him. This drove her curiosity towards Isiah even greater, and prompted her to sneak out of her room one day to investigate her past.

As Salleal discovers, Isiah is in fact the ruler of the country. Where she was kept in was also not a regular house, but the palace itself. Following the discovery, Salleal soon recovered her memories.

In truth, Isiah and Salleal were siblings, but fell in love despite such relationship being forbidden. As Isiah grew to rule the kingdom, they each have to part ways: Salleal to marry to a foreign country to establish peace between their nations, and Isiah to welcome a foreign bride for similar purpose.

On Salleal’s journey, things went awry and she fell down a cliff, which was the actual cause of her injuries and amnesia. When Isiah learned of Salleal’s near death encounter, he was greatly stricken, and vowed to never let Salleal leave his side again.

Taking advantage of the accident and Salleal’s memory lost, Isiah fabricated her death so that she would no longer need to marry off to a foreign country. He confined Salleal deep within the palace so that no one would discover this secret. Knowing that Salleal would feel guilty and may disagree with his plans if she knew, he lied to her about the circumstances to keep her by his side.

Eventually, Salleal realized this, and was tormented over their sins. However, Isiah was determined to see his plan through; he could not bear to send Salleal to a foreign country for a political marriage. Ultimately, Salleal caved in, and it is assumed that they remained together, even if it means Salleal will be confined as long as she lives.

While Isiah’s acts do qualify him as a yandere, I do find the intensity of his actions and emotions lacking. His act of keeping Salleal hidden in the palace only happened due to her coincidental fall and amnesia. If not for the accident, Isiah would not have acted out the way he did.

As Isiah is from a one shot manga, it is quite expected that his’s character is not very well-explored. Overall, he would pass as a yandere, but not an impactful one.
