SPOILERS AND PERSONAL OPINION

Dangerous Fellows is a mobile otome game released in 2018, featuring a unique thriller-theme plot. The game features 5 potential love interests, and a total of 7 endings (1 bad, 1 for each of the 5 love interests, and 1 true ending). Completion of a minimum of 3 endings (excluding the bad end) allows you to unlock the true end. Along with the standard story, featuring a total of 25 chapters, there are also additional contents. These contents include night patrols, memories, chat messages, etc.
Overall, I find this game quite interesting and unique. There wasn’t many otome games of this playing style back in 2018. The horror and thriller theme was really a breath of fresh air for mobile-based otome games.
The plot was also engaging enough, though I find the mysterious perpetuator to be awfully obvious soon enough. How they tried to make it a mystery was terrible though. Even when the perpetuator was right in front the protagonist, the protagonist apparently could not make out their identity. Reasons like “the place is too dark” or “it was too frightening” was cited, which doesn’t make sense because it was in broad daylight, and the person is literally an arm’s length from her??
Also, I find the protagonist to be quite useless even though there were specific occasions meant to portray her as useful. Quite often she let herself be pushed around by Scarlett, and was naïve and heedless to Sue’s suspicions. The protagonist can also be quite rash and dumb at times, and why do I say that? On an occasion, she ran out into the open just because she found a passing shadow to look like Scarlett, only to realize it was actually a zombie.
???
How can she mistake a tottering, disfigured zombie for a young slim lady whom she had been living under the same roof with for quite some time?
Worse, she rushed out to put herself at danger without any weapons for defense, and had to rely on the other survivors to come to her rescue. Thanks to her actions, she managed to save nobody, put herself in utmost danger, and put others in danger as well.
Ignoring the protagonist, I do find other characters quite endearing. Some examples include Judy, the bright and cheerful friend, Harry, the kind and gentle one of the group, and Ethan, the quiet but caring guy.
Do check out this game. Although it will be easier to pay a small sum to get ahead faster, the majority of the game contents can be unlocked eventually, if you have the patience.
